Oggi piove, c’e’ aria di neve in città, tempo perfetto per i ricordi estivi e per riprendere il filo dei nostri racconti di viaggio.
Estate 2013. Cri, la pancia, Pablo, Alice e il nostro furgone.
Prima meta ipotizzata la Turchia, ma causa ecografie irrimandabili, decidiamo di non allungare troppo il viaggio e fermarci in Grecia. La Turchia continua a rimanere lì tra i nostri sogni da realizzare al più presto.
Cominciamo a documentarci in rete e scopriamo con piacere che la Grecia pare una destinazione ideale per i camperisti come noi.
Ma quali tra le mille isole scegliere? O meglio la terraferma? Dove possiamo incontrare le spiagge meno affollate ad agosto e soprattutto parcheggiare liberamente con il nostro furgone vista mare? (Domanda da 100 milioni di dollari!)
Iniziamo a parlare con gli amici viaggiatori per avere consigli e scopriamo che lo Zio di Davide, camperista, sono anni che trascorre mesi in Grecia e ha appena pubblicato una guida per il campeggio libero nel Peloponneso.
Compriamo subito la guida, molto più utile e economica di qualsiasi Lonely Planet o Routard e chiediamo a Davide di combinare una cena con lo zio per ascoltare i racconti/consigli di viaggio in persona (sempre una buona scusa per autoinvitarsi a cena da un bravo cuoco :))
Lo zio di Davide è la persona giusta per rispondere a tutte le nostre domande. Cartina alla mano ci convince ad optare per la parte est del Peloponneso, la meno affollata ad Agosto, con numerose spiagge che fanno al caso nostro.
Lo ringraziamo per gli utili consigli, ma soprattutto per aver deciso di condividere con noi e molti altri viaggiatori il suo know-how sulla Grecia, segnalando spiagge remote e ogni informazione pratica necessaria per chi vuole fare campeggio libero da queste parti.
Alla domanda “Ma perchè fai tutto questo? Non hai paura di trovare la folla nei paradisi da te scoperti?” la risposta è stata “Tanto noi viaggiamo fuori stagione, non c’e’ mai nessuno in queste spiagge!” Lo salutiamo con un pizzico di invidia e la speranza un giorno di poter trascorrere anche noi la pensione (?!?) in viaggio a condividere i nostri racconti!
E così eccoci in partenza direzione Ancona dove ci aspetta il traghetto per Patrasso.
Bici caricate, zaino trekking per trasporto nanerottola preso, libri, giochi, canotto e costumi anche, siamo pronti!
La Grecia non delude le aspettative, anzi, ci lascia la voglia di tornare ad esplorarla meglio e il Peloponneso ad agosto si rivela una scelta vincente.
Il mare è pulito e trasparente ovunque, le spiagge mai affollate, con una prevalenza di turismo greco e qualche camperista. Non mancano i servizi: docce libere in moltissime spiagge, facilità di reperimento dell’acqua per il furgone, camioncini che passano a venderti frutta e verdura e l’immancabile taverna vista mare per concedersi qualche buona ed economica cenetta con le specialità locali.
Per non parlare del piacere, non scontato, di vedere le spiagge libere da stabilimenti balneari e da orribili file di ombrelloni!
Decidiamo di fare poche tappe, non abbiamo nessuna smania di mettere bandierine su mille paesini visitati, preferiamo goderci la tranquillità dei luoghi e ambientarci giorno dopo giorno.
Alice sembra apprezzare questo ritmo di viaggio, in pochi giorni, fedele all’origine greca del suo nome ( Αλική, ovvero “marina”), si trasforma in un pesciolino. Cammina nuda sulle spiagge di sassi, si tuffa in mare senza timore e ci rallegra le giornate con i suoi giochi. Fa amicizia con i bimbi che incontriamo e inizia a salutare in Greco (Iassuuuuuu) o Inglese (Bai -Bai)a seconda dell’occasione :)
Il furgone è piazzato a pochi metri dall’acqua, la spiaggia alla sera si svuota completamente e ci godiamo la tranquillità del tramonto e le cene in riva al mare, meravigliandoci continuamente di questa libertà.
Alice può scorrazzare a piacimento senza nessun pericolo, l’aria di mare le fa bene e non ha nessun malanno, nel frattempo la pancia di mamma cresce e lei inizia a prenderci confidenza concedendosi ogni pomeriggio una siesta sul suo fratellino (vorrà mica schiacciarlo prima ancora che nasca!??!:))
Ci imbarchiamo sul traghetto di ritorno salutando la Grecia con un bel “arrivederci” e la certezza che torneremo presto da queste parti. L’ospitalità greca, la quiete, le spiagge isolate, la libertà, il tempo per viversi Alice giorno per giorno e gli interessanti incontri con altre famiglie di viaggiatori ci hanno rigenerato e fatto iniziare a sognare i prossimi viaggi in quattro :)
