Quando una volta qui era tutta campagna ed esistevano ancora le mezze stagioni, il cinema si teneva in strada.
Oggi abbiamo la televisione, skype, il digitale terrestre e i cinema con 16 sale e anche più.
Per fortuna a Settembre, da cinque anni a questa parte, ci pensa l’Associazione Culturale i 313 a farci uscire per la strada. A riportare nelle piazze la magia del grande schermo, in quelle piazze che la maggior parte dei torinesi non frequentano mai: Piazza Cerignola, Piazza della Vittoria, Largo Saluzzo, Via di Nanni.
“Cinema in Strada” non è solo una rassegna di cinema all’aperto, ma, come spiegano le ragazze dell’associazione, è un momento di incontro tra i cittadini italiani e migranti attraverso il cinema con proiezioni di film rappresentativi delle persone e delle comunità che vivono nei quartieri periferici della nostra città .
E così, grazie alle scelte degli abitanti dei quartieri ed alla selezione artistica dell’associazione, possiamo vedere film marocchini, albanesi, colombiani, senegalesi, argentini … insieme ai classici del cinema italiano da Alberto Sordi a “C’era una volta il west”.
Ma non vi preoccupate i film, proiettati in lingua originale, sono rigorosamente sottotitolati e così, oltre ad imparare storie e costumi degli immigrati, impariamo anche un po’ della loro lingua e chissà che la prossima volta che li incroceremo al mercato non ci facciano un po’ meno paura ;-)
Mi ricordo che un giorno, durante il nostro lungo viaggio, eravamo in una città del nord del Messico, e per caso abbiamo scoperto che quella sera si sarebbe tenuta la proiezione di un film italiano nell’università della città .
Siamo andati subito a vederlo, non tanto per il film in sé, ma per il piacere di vedere una commedia italiana, una nostra storia, dopo tanti mesi in terra straniera. Ieri sera alla proiezione del film “A Casablanca gli angeli non volano” di Mohamed Asli pensavo al piacere che sicuramente provavano i marocchini in sala nel poter vedere sul grande schermo le immagini e le storie della propria terra, film che molto raramente riescono ad essere distribuiti nei cinema italiani.
Mentre qualche sera prima, alla proiezione di “Caro nemico” di Gjergi Xhuvani, Piazza Cerignola era gremita di albanesi curiosi di dibattere con il regista al termine della proiezione di un film ambientato durante la guerra contraddistinto da un’intelligenza e un’ironia rara.
E così mentre i film scorrono sullo schermo, si sente di sottofondo il rumore del proiettore e dei bambini che sfruttano la piazza, per una sera chiusa al traffico, per giocare in strada. E c’e’ chi, durante i cambi di bobina, si prende una birra al bar vicino, chi si gode la sigaretta al cinema, chi cena con un kebab, chi osserva il proprio vicino di casa, chi alza lo sguardo preoccupato verso il cielo grigio pioggia.
Tutti insieme contagiati dalla magia del cinema all’aperto e dall’entusiasmo che in ogni momento, anche in quelli più “bagnati”, contraddistingue le ragazze dell’Associazione i 313.
Dunque cosa aspettate, per una sera spegnete la televisione e scendete in piazza!
