N.B: il seguente post non e’ consigliabile ai particolarmenti invidiosi del nostro viaggio o a chi si e’ appena seduto alla scrivania di lunedi’ mattina :-)

Arrivati nel grande Brasile. L’arrivo a Rio de Janeiro e’ stato breve e poco documentato, dovete scusarci ma capirete che girare con una 400D per le strade di Rio non e’ esattamente la cosa piu’ saggia da fare. In molti ci avevano consigliato di saltare Rio, ma come in Italia tutte le strade portano a Roma, alla fine ci siamo, come dire, capitati. Pero’ vi assicuro che la vista del Cristo Redentore sulla cima del Corcovado a me personalmente ha lasciato i brividi, sara’ il ricordo delle tante immagini cinematografiche che ho associato immediatamente. E poi Rio vista da Copacabana, non si puo’ sicuramente giudicare una bella citta’, magnifico lo spiaggione,  ma con tutti quei palazzacci dietro…pero’ la vista dal famoso Pao de Azucar la rende unica al mondo. Una citta’ che si e’ letteralmente fatta spazio in mezzo a colline verdeggianti che spuntano tra i vari quartieri come dei panettoni.

Scusate, mi sono dilungata anche troppo, torniamo a discorsi piu’ seri :-). Dicevamo, la prima sosta a Rio e’ stata di un solo giorno perche’ il richiamo del mare, quello vero (senza nulla togliere alla playa di Copacabana), si faceva sentire insistentemente dopo 2 mesi di Patagonia. Dopo un giorno ci siamo quindi rimessi in moto in direzione della Ilha Grande, una splendida isola tropicale immersa nella jungla (avete presente LOST?) a sole 3 ore da Rio.
Il fascino dell’isola ha lasciato il suo segno, era la dimensione che cercavamo. Nessuna macchina, un villaggio dove abbiamo campeggiato da un simpatico brasiliano di origine veneta come tanti sull’isola, poche strade sterrate e una miriade di spiagge dove potersi rilassare e immergere nelle nostre letture. E alla sera, dopo aver comprato il pesce dai pescatori al mattino, ottima grigliata in compagnia di due nuovi amici francesi. Cosa volere di piu’? :-) Potrei dilungarmi per ore sull’acqua cristallina e dalla temperatura perfetta di quelle che ti rinfrescano ma che non provi i brividi ad ogni tuffo, sulle spiagge poco affollate e dalla sabbia finissima, sui pesciolini che impavidi ti becchettano i piedi, le stelle di mare e chi piu’ ne ha piu’ ne metta,  nessuna esagerazione credetemi ;-)

Come dicevo potrei continuare per ore, ma ho paura che qualcuno di voi dall’Italia mi possa fulminare con il pensiero e poi devo spicciarmi che pare che ad Agosto noi si abbia un certo appuntamento in Messico…

A presto per altri aggiornamenti, ora siamo tornati a Rio, e ne abbiamo scoperto un lato nuovo e affascinante nel quartiere di Santa Teresa, consigliatoci dai due ragazzi francesi che, non erroneamente, l’avevano paragonato a Mont Martre anche se a noi ricorda di piu’ l’ Alfama di Lisbona.

PS: per Clau, no ancora non riesco a fare miracoli, gia’ son riuscita a fargli fare trekking, con la capoeira ormai ci ho rinunciato, anche se devo ammettere che qui anch’io ho un po’ di timori ad esibirmi, pare facciano un po’ troppo sul serio per strada ;-)
