Riprendiamo il resoconto dei nostri primi viaggi in famiglia …
Dopo le prime esperienze di viaggi a tre in furgone è giunta l’ora, anche per sfruttare il fatto che i bambini non pagano il volo aereo fino ai due anni d’età, di portare Alice dall’altra parte del mondo.
Non smetteremo mai di ringraziare a dovere i nonni per la prima grande occasione: un viaggio con tutta la famiglia a New York!
Agosto 2012, Alice ha 10 mesi ed è pronta a gattonare nei parchi della Grande Mela :)
Prenotiamo il volo, rigorosamente notturno per facilitare a tutti il viaggio, ci assicuriamo che la compagnia aerea le riservi la culletta da agganciare alle prime file di sedili dell’aereo, affittiamo un appartamento che ci sembra più pratico e … via si parte!
New York si rivela come immaginavamo una tappa piacevole e facile da gestire nella dimensione “famiglia”. Per rispettare le esigenze di Alice diamo la precedenza alle soste gioco nei numerosi parchi e al giro in bici a Central Park, piuttosto che a trascorrere le ore in freddi musei, ma son piccole rinunce a cui ci adattiamo volentieri.
Per il resto è lei ad adattarsi a noi, più sono piccoli e più sono facili compagni di viaggio, e noi ne approfittiamo per scorrazzarla in giro per i five boroughs, divertendoci ad osservala nelle sue piccole scoperte e facendole assaggiare tutti i milk shake della città e l’immancabile NY pizza :)
Visto che il primo volo aereo intercontinentale sembra esserle piaciuto a Natale 2012 decidiamo che è ora di portarla verso il Sud Est Asiatico!
Dopo numerose tappe in Thailandia negli anni passati dove avevamo notato famiglie in giro con più di un bimbo al seguito (e a dirla tutta anche per parecchi mesi di viaggio!) sapevamo che sarebbe stato un viaggio facile e ideale per iniziarla a questa parte di mondo.
Purtroppo le vacanze natalizie sono brevi, ma riusciamo comunque a ritagliarci una decina di giorni da vivere rigorosamente sulla spiaggia nell’ancora poco sfruttata isola di Kho Phayam, poco sotto la Birmania.
E così dopo un luuuungo volo notturno (con pulizia/gattonamento dell’aereoporto del Cairo durante lo scalo inclusa), un volo interno per Rangon su un minuscolo aereo dove incredibilmente (perchè tutte le volte mi stupisco!) Alice è stata bravissima e immobile, un’ora di barca e uno spostamento in motorino zaini e passeggino in spalla, Alice in braccio e pioggia a fare da contorno, arriviamo a destinazione.
Come raccontato sulle guide e da altri amici viaggiatori la Thailandia si conferma un paese ideale per svezzare i bimbi a questo tipo di viaggio. Bungalow economici e puliti direttamente sulla spiaggia, cibo buonissimo e variegato, tantissimi altri piccoli viaggiatori con cui poter giocare e soprattutto l’amore dei thailandesi per i bambini!
Ogni sera ordinavamo il pesce in spiaggia e immancabilmente arrivava qualche cameriere che si prendeva cura di Alice. Spuntano babysitter ad ogni angolo, i thailandesi impazziscono letteralmente per i bambini e per fortuna anche Alice per loro :)
Un paese sicuro, pulito e ben organizzato una tappa facile per chi vuole iniziare a esplorare il Sud Est Asiatico con i bimbi al seguito!
A Bangkok abbiamo anche trovato il primo aereoporto con un’utilissima area gioco per farla scorrazzare e stancare ben bene nell’attesa della partenza!
E verso il finale della vacanza, dopo qualche tentativo mano nella mano di camminata sulla morbida sabbia finalmente la piccola ci regala l’emozione dei primi passi …. sulle mattonelle di un piccolo ristorantino!
Sicuramente torneremo da queste parti alla prima occasione, speriamo con più tempo per poter iniziare a esplorare in quattro anche parchi, montagne, paesini e cercare nuove avventure insieme!
