Un anno fa rientravamo a Torino dal nostro girovagare per il mondo. Un gruppo di amici e parenti ci aspettava, a nostra insaputa, all’ultimo autogrill prima di entrare in città con bandiere e abbracci festosi.
Il primo maggio 2008 me lo ricordo come una giornata di sole, io e Pablo insonni a camminare e riscoprire la nostra città in mezzo ai primi manifestanti e alle bandiere tibetane, ignari che la nostra vita sarebbe cambiata, ancora una volta, di lì a poco.
Oggi, ad un anno di distanza, l’unica cosa che ci è venuta da fare per ricordare il nostro rientro, è stata andare a camminare. Quei trekking che tanto hanno riempito il nostro viaggio, volevamo vedere se eravamo ancora in grado di affrontarli, anche qui, a casa nostra.

Visto la quantità di neve scesa quest’anno, le alpi erano ancora off-limits per le camminate e quindi abbiamo optato per “L’alta via dei monti liguri”, un sentiero che si inerpica sulle verdeggianti montagne che si affacciano sul mare della Liguria.
E’ stata un’ottima scelta, il modo migliore per trascorrere questi giorni di ricordi un po’ malinconici. Io e Pablo, in mezzo alla natura, in fuga dall’affollamento della riviera ligure, uno zaino sulle spalle (e che fatica, non siamo proprio più abituati!), un fornelletto per le nostre cenette, rifugi liberi ad accoglierci con tanto di caminetto tutti per noi, le verdi montagne e il mare visto dall’alto che ci ha regalato scenari memorabili.


Non avrei mai immaginato di poter raggiungere in poche ore quelle vette che di solito osservavo passando in autostrada, non avrei mai immaginato che nascondessero una rete tale di sentieri e rifugi ospitali. Dovevamo andare fino in Patagonia per scoprire le emozioni che possono regalare dei giorni di trekking e per renderci conto che anche da noi, è pieno di paesaggi da scoprire. Ma purtroppo troppo spesso si conoscono meglio le mete lontane delle bellezze di casa nostra.
Ancora mi stupisco tutte le volte che cammino di quanti posti impensabili siano facilmente raggiungibili, di come bastino veramente poche ore di cammino per ritrovarsi in mezzo alla natura, via dalle masse, a godere del silenzio e della pace dei luoghi. Per sentirsi, anche se per pochi giorni, come i viandanti di una volta, muovendosi a piedi, con uno zaino in spalla, per spostarsi da un posto all’altro,  passo dopo passo dopo passo….

Ed ora, ad un anno di distanza, siamo pronti per sognare nuovi viaggi. Dopo il Sud America è giunto il momento di iniziare ad esplorare seriamente il continente africano, per cui appuntamento ad agosto, per i prossimi racconti in mondovisione direttamente dal Mozambico!!

    Io sono in Italia da due mesi… per tutto il 2010 ritornerò in Perù, sempre a Huaro, vicino a Cusco… partirò da Madrid è ho l’idea fissa di partire su una vecchia bicicletta olandese a ottobre, sfruttando CouchSurfing, pedalando per tutta la Costa azzurra… fino a Madrid… che saranno 1500 km… vedremo… mai smettere di sognare… inizio a crederci… l’inverno è un dato relativo… :-)

    La juventus FC tramite l’amico Davide Fantino ha deciso di appoggiare con materiale (borse, magliette, palloni… etc) le scuole di calcio della città di Cusco più bisognose.

    PeruEtico italia è incaricato di ricevere e consegnare il materiale a 2 scuole calcio che raccolgono più di 100 bambini.

    Le scuole appoggiate sono state individuate e saranno: La scuola calcio “Apu Pitusiray” di Calca e la scuola calcio “Atlas” di Cusco (nelle foto), i giocatori hanno età variabili, dai 6 ai 12 anni.
